Education and training are critical for anyone to develop and improve their expertise and abilities. This is why the SFU Research Computing Group has a dedicated team that offer training to anyone across western Canada. We create a learning environment that encourages growth and development and help people in research and industry to expand their knowledge and skills to help increase productivity.
A benefit to ongoing training opportunities, is the encouragement for people to learn new skills, develop existing ones and take on greater responsibilities, providing a win-win situation for the the entire organization.
For example, we offer technical training in software programs, including software development languages such as Python, Julia and Chapel. We also have material in various knowledge domains such as BioInformatics, Digital Humanities and GIS, as well as content in support of visualization, cloud and container technologies, AI & machine learning and data management.
